    Best LB in the world. imo ashley cole is over the hill. Baines is better
    going foward and i’d be happy playing him with cleverly cause he can cover
    and baines can go foward.

    Baines has produced a fantastic performance in the vast majority of his
    England games. Glad he’s had the opportunity in these two games, even
    though Cole has been a great servant to England, because I think he’s
    starting to edge Cole in the Premier League at least. Two of the very best
    left-backs in the world.

    I say this about Baines every time he plays! He could have walked into
    almost any other international team (and that’s not something that is true
    of many england players) but he’s been unfortunate to be on the same team
    as ashley cole. They’re both amazing

    Only position england have two truly incredible players. Cole probably
    still edges him in defence, but Baines provides danger going forward. Cole
    has always been very reliable for england, and never really got the credit
    he deserves
